Professor Gordon Awandare, Chairman of the Governing Council of CK Tedam University of Technology and Applied Sciences (CKT-UTAS) and Director of the West African Center for Cell Biology of Infectious Pathogens (WACCBIP), University of Ghana, has donated Equipment worth Thirty One Thousand, One Hundred and Sixty Six Cedis, Eight Pesewas (31,166.8) to aid the setting up of a basic and didactic Molecular Biology Laboratory in the CK Tedam University of Technology and Applied Sciences, Navrongo.

This follows an appeal for support made by Dr. James Abugri, a Senior Lecturer at the Department of Applied Chemistry and Biochemistry at CKT-UTAS and an Alumnus of the Department of Biochemistry, Cell and Molecular Biology and WACCBIP.

Dr. Abugri has a strong aspiration to form a Research Team in molecular biology and genomics to conduct research in non-communicable, endemic and emerging infectious diseases. The supplies include A gel electrophoresis and assorted micro pipettes. The gesture is expected to boost teaching and research in CKT-UTAS.
