A Senior Lecturer of the Department of Applied Physics, School of Physical Sciences (SoPS), Dr. Jonas Bugase has taken delivery of equipment whose components include a 4- position nose piece industrial stand microscope with camera mount and accessories, 4-channel oscilloscope, 2 pieces of 2-channel arbitrary wave function generators, and vortex mixer pipettes to support teaching, learning and experimental training of postgraduate students at C.K. Tedam University of Technology and Applied Sciences.
The equipment grant worth Ten Thousand Euros (€10,000), was awarded under the Centrum Fur Internationale Migration and Entwicklung (CIM) now Program Migration and Diaspora (PMD) of the Deutsche Gesellschaft Fur International Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmBH. The overarching purpose of the grant is to facilitate the effective transfer by the Returning Expert of knowledge, skills and expertise acquired during his training in Deutschland.
An elated Dr.Bugase was grateful to the GIZ for the grant and expressed optimism that it will improve the instrumentation base of the University, support colleagues and students in research as well as contribute towards the overall goal of producing technologically oriented and innovative graduates at CKT-UTAS.
