BRIGHTER INVESTMENT GHANA CO. LTD PARTNERS CKT-UTAS TO SUPPORT BRILLIANT BUT NEEDY STUDENTS

Brighter Investment Co. Ltd, a Canadian Social Enterprise with a mission to address financial barriers in higher education for students in developing countries, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with C. K. Tedam University of Technology and Applied Sciences (CKT-UTAS), to provide funding opportunities for brilliant students in need of financial support at CKT-UTAS.

Under the terms of the MoU, Brighter Investment will offer qualifying beneficiary students the opportunity to receive full funding for their studies, including tuition, student fees, hostel fees and a living stipend. In exchange, the beneficiary students will undertake to pay a fixed percentage of their income to Brighter Investment Co. Ltd for an agreed period after graduation, to offset the funding support.

The Pro Vice-Chancellor, Prof Albert Lugutera, initialed for Professor Eric Magnus Wilmot, Vice-Chancellor, on behalf of CKT-UTAS, while Mr. Richard Adarkwah, Regional Manager, penciled for Brighter Investment Co. Ltd. The signing was witnessed by Dr. V. A. Ankamah-Lomotey, Registrar of CKT-UTAS. Also present at the Ceremony was the Dean of Students Dr. Ohene Boansi Apea.
