On the 26th of March 2024, the C. K. Tedam University of Technology and Applied Sciences (CKT-UTAS) Chapter of the Ghana Association of University Administrators (GAUA) donated GH₵ 9,200 to Mr. Aaron Tiburu a member of TEWU, as part of fulfilling the union’s social and corporate responsibility.
Management members present included the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Albert Luguterah, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Samson Abagale, the Acting Registrar, Mr. Gilbert Ansoglenang, the Director of Finance, Mr. Anaamoatulum Anab and Mr. Matthew Zangina (Head, Internal Audit)
The benefactor, Mr. Aaron Tiburu works as a tradesman in the DPDEM unit. He is currently in need of funding to support his surgery for a critical hip condition. Mr. Aaron was diagnosed with Avascular Necrosis and will require a total hip arthroplasty. The estimated cost of the surgery is GH₵ 45,000.00.
The Acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Albert Luguterah commended the initiative taken by the members of GAUA in raising funds to support Mr. Aaron Tiburu.
He stated that the kindness we show goes a long way in changing the lives of the people around us. He therefore urged various unions to extend their support in every little way they could.
Mr. Amatus Dinye, the President of GAUA was convoyed by executives and members which included Mr. Isaac Aboyom, Anontise, Ms. Juliana Agalga, Mr. Graham Bila, Ms. Esther Bangase, Mr. Alexander Akumbuno, Mrs. Regina Bagna, and Mr. Fuseini Musah.
