Postgraduate Entry Requirements

A candidate seeking for admission to pursue any of our Ph.D programmes must:

1. Have an M.Phil. or M.Sc. by research degree in the relevant field from a recognised University.
2. Submit an official transcript of academic records, certificates, and other relevant documents.
3. Each applicant shall be required to submit a concept paper on his/her proposed research topic.
4. Meet the Departmental requirements.

Applicants who want to pursue our M.Sc./M.Phil. programmes must:

1. Have obtained a good first degree in Bachelor of Science, at least Second Class Lower, in the relevant field of study from a recognized University or Tertiary Institution.
2. Submit an official transcript of academic records and other relevant documents.
3. Each applicant shall be required to submit a concept paper on his/her proposed research topic.
4. Meet the Departmental requirements.

⛔ Applicants with foreign certificates shall be required to get them verified by the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) before they can be accepted into the programmes.

🔔 All postgraduate applicants will be required to pass a selection interview to be conducted by the various Schools and Departments.

Requirement for Masters of Public Health (MPH)

• The MPH will be available to health professionals and other graduates with a good first degree.
• A good first degree is a grade of second lower division or better.
• Individuals with relevant work experience will be an added advantage in the admission process.
