In a heartwarming display of solidarity and compassion, the University Teachers Association of Ghana (UTAG) chapter at the C. K. Tedam University of Technology and Applied Sciences (CKT-UTAS) has come together to offer substantial support to one of their own in a time of need.
Mr. Aaron Tiburu, a dedicated member of the Teachers and Educational Workers Union (TEWU) and a tradesman in the DPDEM unit, has been facing a critical hip condition diagnosed as Avascular Necrosis. the estimated cost of the surgery is pegged at GHS 45,000.00.
On April 30th, 2024, UTAG CKT-UTAS Chapter, presented a generous donation of GHS 17,000.00 to Mr. Aaron Tiburu, showing their unwavering support and solidarity during his time of hardship. The presentation was made by UTAG President, Dr. Gregory Abe-I-Kpeng, and supported by executives Dr. Francisca Achaliwie and Dr. Eugene Dogkotenge Kuugbee.
The donation was received by the Acting Vice-Chancellor of CKT-UTAS, Prof. Albert Luguterah, in the presence of Pro Vice-Chancellor Prof. Samson A. Abagale, who expressed heartfelt gratitude to UTAG for their benevolent gesture. Prof. Luguterah commended the association for exemplifying the university’s commitment to social responsibility and solidarity among its members.
