Admission into MPhil. Anaesthesia and Critical Care Programme – 2023/2024

ADMISSION INTO THE MASTER OF PHILOSOPHY IN ANAESTHESIA AND CRITICAL CARE PROGRAMME IN THE 2023/2024 ACADEMIC YEAR

Applications are invited for admission into the Master of Philosophy in Anaesthesia and Critical Care programme of the School of Medical Sciences (SoMS), C. K. Tedam University of Technology and Applied Sciences (CKT-UTAS).

The application form is free and totally online.

Interested applicants should log onto https://admissions.cktutas.edu.gh/ and complete the application form.

The application deadline is February 12, 2024.

Admission Requirements for the Master of Philosophy in Anaesthesia and Critical Care

The following minimum qualifications and conditions must be met before applicants may apply for admission into the Master of Philosophy in Anaesthesia and Critical Care Programme:

1. Firstly, applicants must have a Bachelor of Science degree with at least, Second Class Lower or better in Anaesthesia. Applicants with a diploma in anaesthesia and a first degree in any other health-related programme may also apply.
2. Secondly, prospective applicants who hold postgraduate diploma certificates in related fields in addition to a first degree may also apply for the programme.
3. Lastly, persons with Master of Science (M.Sc) degrees without research in health-related areas may also apply for top-up, which will afford them the opportunity to carry out extended research leading to the award of Master of Philosophy in Anaesthesia and Critical Care.

All applicants are required to submit a concept paper on their proposed research topic and shall be required to attend a pre‐selection interview. In addition, all applicants shall be required to submit one reference letter from an academic referee and must demonstrate the ability to fund the programme.

As a pre-requisite, applicants should have been registered practitioners with the Ghana Medical and Dental Council and should be of good standing at the time of the application.

Note: The printout copy of the application summary and hard copies of the applicant’s certificates, transcripts, and a copy of the concept paper should be posted to the Deputy Registrar, Academic Affairs, CKT-UTAS, P. O. Box 24, Navrongo.
